A Message from the Principals
Hello Millbridge families,
As January ends and we begin to welcome the second half of the school year it is amazing to observe what we have accomplished. All the hard work put in by the students, staff and parents during this difficult year has been stunning. Our teachers have put in so much work learning how to teach remotely, alongside teaching “in-person” students, while creating assignments in Canvas, uploading paper based materials, creating Google meet links, overcoming technology barriers, and many more challenging obstacles this year.
Having witnessed much of this “behind the scenes” work, we are truly thankful for the group of teachers at Millbridge. Also, a big thank you to our community of parents who support the Millbridge students and teachers. We know many of you are balancing work, health and personal challenges, in addition to this unique school year and all the changes it brought. We are confident that our Cubs will come out more resilient than ever before once this year is over.
Educationally yours,
Mrs. Lowe and Mrs. Murphy

Continued Restrictions
When the safety protocols were developed this summer, all classroom parties were cancelled and birthday treats were prohibited. Additionally, no other materials were permitted to be brought to school and shared with classmates. When the plan was developed, the decision was made to reevaluate this decision in January.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing public health emergency, these restrictions will remain in effect. Valentines will not be exchanged in school this year. We will continue to provide students with craft projects as a way to celebrate occasions that would typically be celebrated in school.
Give Kids a Smile
The NJ Dental Association would like to help students start each day with a SMILE!! Dentists throughout NJ offer free dental care for children under 12. Additional information is available on the New Jersey Dental Association website: njda.org/for-the-public/gkas. Participating dentists are listed HERE
PTO
The PTO will be having a virtual Talent show on February 18th. Please register using the following form: https://forms.gle/9MDmQgDNev6KPQ1b7
We can't wait to see everyone's hidden talents in February!
Quarantined Students
In the event that a student is required to quarantine, you will be contacted by an administrator to discuss how your child will receive their live instruction on the days that they would have normally been in school.
Due to the change in our instructional schedule and delivery, we are no longer able to push out instructional videos to students who are absent. If a student is absent, you may contact your child’s teacher to request a list of assignments that were missed.
Material Pick-Up
The next material pick-up/drop off event will be on Wednesday, February 17th. Materials may be picked up between 9:00-12:00, 1:00-3:00 and 4:30-6:00. It is extremely important that parents bring any work that is requested by their teacher as we are approaching the end of the second trimester.
