Dear Dunning Families,
This week brought such joy to all of us here at Dunning. Although we have started remote, the connections and interactions happening are so real. It was so exciting to see all the awesome first day of school pictures that everyone has shared!
Next week, we want to remind everyone that we will be hosting Virtual Q & A Open Houses for each grade level for parents to ask questions. Please see the schedule and links below for those meetings. We look forward to seeing everyone.
We really want to emphasize how much we want to hear from families. You can reach out to us by phone, email or using our virtual door Padelt, which is always open. Please use the link below to access our Dunning Virtual Door.
Regards,
Michele & Kathie

Community Resources
Dunning School Council
Dear Families,
I invite you to be a member of the Dunning School Council!
A school council is a representative, school building-based committee composed of the principal, parents, teachers, community members and, at the secondary level, students, required to be established by each school pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 71, Section 59C. The law outlines four major areas of responsibility for councils. School councils are to assist principals in:
Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards
Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school
Reviewing the annual school building budget
Formulating a school improvement plan
While we will review the above, the main purpose of this school council will be to continue to look at family and community engagement at Dunning and to assist in the development of a plan to address this area.
Meetings will take place at 4:00 - 5:00pm on the following dates: 10/10, 11/16, 12/14, 1/25, 2/22. 3/22, 4/26, & 5/23.
Please join Suzanne Chlapowski, Lauren Walton, Kevin Lynch, and myself as part of this year’s school council by emailing me at mschecter@framingham.k12.ma.us
Sincerely,
Ms. Schecter
