Our Second Annual Sight Word competition was great! Kudos to Ms. Elikwu and the kindergarten team for preparing our students to compete!
3-5 Teachers are getting ahead of the game by planning for next year's writing instruction. Thank you all for your engagement and professionalism.

AVID Strategy of The Month : ORGANIZATION of Thoughts Using Graphic Organizers
One of AVID's main focuses is on organization. How can we help our Patriots prepare for the GMAS by organizing information in a way that helps them to have a better understanding of the information and helps them to communicate the information effectively. As we prepare for taking the GMAS thus becoming a "B" school, students need writing tools to help them organize the information they are trying to communicate in writing before they put it in written format. Students need to know how to organize their graphic organization tools for Narrative writing, Informational writing, Opinion writing, and Math ECR prompts swiftly and effectively! Organization not only helps us communicate, but also helps us reinforce information and get a better grasp of concepts being taught in class. Let's ramp up the organization of our thoughts, and ACE this test!
