Message to Families From Administration
Dear High School Families,
I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying the remaining days of summer. With the start of the new school year just around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to share my excitement for the remarkable year that lies ahead.
We are all eagerly looking forward to reuniting with the students and embracing the opportunities and challenges that a new school year brings. Our school community continues to grow and build positive and enriching environments for student learning and success.
As we return to school, we understand that transitions can sometimes be overwhelming, especially after a break. Our staff are here to support students in any way possible. If your child needs any assistance to start the year off right, please reach out to an administrator or school counselor to help ensure the start to a great year!
I look forward to seeing you at our annual Open House event on August 30th. This will be an opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, explore the classrooms, and learn more about the exciting activities and programs we have planned for the year. We are also so excited for Ross Greene, our guest speaker, to help kick off our school year as well!
Here's to a year of growth, discovery, and success! If you have any questions or need assistance before the school year starts, please do not hesitate to contact our school office.
Wishing you all a fantastic start to the new school year!
Warmest regards,
Jennifer Potter
Executive Principal

Similar to previous years at the high schools, all students will be expected to attend their homeroom period each day for the first two weeks of school. As a reminder, our homeroom time is 7:15 - 7:44am. This period serves as a valuable opportunity for students to connect with their classmates, receive important announcements, and engage in various learning activities that promote our culture and learning environment. Attendance is mandatory during this period for all students.
Our morning intervention and enrichment opportunities (FLEXI) will begin the week of September 18th, 2023. Juniors and Seniors can apply for expanded release opportunities to begin after September 18th for those students who qualify.
Expanded release forms with criteria for eligibility will be available for pick up in the attendance office beginning the first week of school. Families and students will be notified by their administrator of eligibility for expanded release by September 18th, 2023.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s administrator with questions.

Bus Routes
Picture Day(s)
WBHS Picture Days are September 6 or 7. Students may have their picture taken on either day in the auditorium. Photographers are available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students should plan to go before school, during a free period or lunch, or after school. Students will receive their new school ID when their photo is taken.
Please Note: School IDs are required for entry to many school events, so it is recommended that students have their photo taken regardless of if you will order a photo package from Network Photography.
You can complete a paper order form and send it with payment when your child has their picture taken, or you can order school pictures and pre-pay online prior to school picture day.
