December Art Newsletter 2015
Our Richmond students had an amazing award winning contest season. Out of 16 awards, we nearly had a clean sweep by winning 15 fire poster awards!
It was also a second grade Richmond student who won the Ocean State Transit Bus poster contest!
We have been busy with the painting units. The students are doing a wonderful job.
I am already preparing art work for Artessy which is a community event in the spring. If you would be willing to give me a helping hand getting the art work mounted please respond to this email.
I also could use some volunteers to help me prepare the weaving boards for the third graders in January. Sometime next month when we begin weaving I’ll need volunteers to help the third graders tie yarn together. You would help out during your child’s art time. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Donations accepted! If you are clearing out a craft drawer or yarn and would like for your supplies to go to a good home I’d be happy to take them. We use a wide range of materials in the art room.
