Frozen Seeds
How will freezing a seed affect its germination.
Hypothesis
If the seeds are frozen before being planted then the seeds will take longer to germinate because they will have to thaw and will have sub-stained damage from being frozen.
Experiments
Control
Seed planted without being frozen and with optimal amount of light, water, and temperature.
Data Chart
__________Day 1 ____Day 2__________ Day 3_____________________
Control |Nothing |Small sprouts |Most seeds have sprouted|
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Frozen |Nothing |Nothing yet | Seeds found to be dead ____|
*This was the best way I could figure out how to do a chart.
Conclusion
The seeds died all together; not at all supporting the hypothesis. A new hypothesis is needed as freezing the seeds destroyed them; preventing them from germinating. We need a different approach to slowing the germinating process of these seeds.
