Kindergarten Round-Up: Friday, Feb. 17 - Register now!
Kindergarten Round-Up for the 23-24 school year is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 17. This event, which provides students a positive first school experience and helps build excitement for kindergarten, is designed to introduce students and families to staff with whom they will work, familiarize them with the school building, provide important information, answer questions, and gather estimated enrollment numbers for staffing purposes. This experience is an important piece in the transition to school, so it is essential that caregivers and children attend. **Students must be 5 years old on or before September 15 to be eligible for Kindergarten.**
We will hold two round-up sessions on Feb. 17 so please choose the one that works best for your family: 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. Also, please bring a current copy of immunizations and a birth certificate for your student. We look forward to meeting you and our soon-to-be kindergarteners!
In order to "register" your student for Kindergarten Round-up, we ask that you simply register your Kindergartener for the 23-24 school year through Infinite Campus Online Registration! We know it seems early but we want to be ready to provide them the best Kindergarten transition experience possible.
If you are considering enrolling your child in pre-kindergarten next year but aren’t yet certain if s/he will attend kindergarten or pre-kindergarten, please contact Megan Delaney (563-285-9875) prior to Kindergarten Round-Up.
Current kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, and 4-year-old preschool students will not have school on Friday, Feb. 17. (Yes, grades 1-12 have school that day.) Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly.
Pre-Kindergarten Information
North Scott has a Pre-Kindergarten program designed for students who are age-eligible (5) and need more time for academic or social-emotional growth to be prepared for kindergarten. Again, students must be 5-years-old on or before September 15 to be eligible.
