Musical Theater Workshop
Aspiring musical theater performers from Elkins Park School and Glenside Elementary had the opportunity to learn from members of the Cheltenham High School Touring Ensemble - under the direction of Jenny Hutton - at the school district’s first musical theater workshop this past weekend. The three groups watched each other perform before collaborating on song and dance to the “Brand New You” from “13 The Musical.” The workshop was a fun and exciting opportunity for the younger students to connect with high school role models and to learn and grow as performers.

CHS AP Computer Science Principles Class “Explore” Police Body Cams
The CHS AP Computer Science Principles class hosted Cheltenham Township Police Department Officer David Sparango and Lieutenant Andrew Snyder to learn about body-worn police cameras. Students are working on an “Explore” task for the College Board where they investigate computer innovations like police cameras used on township patrol cars. While township law enforcement does not wear body-worn police cameras, the class needed information about how the data is collected, used and stored. AP Computer Science Principles is in its first year at Cheltenham High School, and students learn about how computers and technology impact their daily lives.
