Real Fear
The Angle of the Odd vs World War Z By: Robin Reynolds
The Angle of the Odd
The fear of the unthinkable is seen in " The Angle of the Odd" by Edgar Allan Poe when he over sleeps and missed his appointment for fire insurance, and his house was caught on fire
“and drawing his breath strongly to puff the dart forward with force, drew the needle into his throat. It entered the lungs, and in a few days killed him."
“The policy of insurance for my dwelling house...house, I clearly perceived, was on fire. In a few minutes the blaze broke forth with violence, and in an incredibly brief period the entire building was wrapped in flames.”
“In pronouncing these words, he drew a sharp knife across the guide-rope by which I was suspended, and as we then happened to be precisely over my own house.”
Real World
The fear of the unthinkable is still seen relevant today and can be seen in World War Z when the family didn't know zombies were among them
