LET'S KEEP READING!
Summer break is right around the corner! We want our scholars to rest and enjoy their time off, but we also want them to retain all the gains they’ve made! Encouraging silent reading time and taking part in family reading time helps build a love for reading and lifelong learning. It also helps keep those critical thinking skills sharpened. Below are books for each grade level that students will encounter in their fall Edgenuity course. Reading these over the summer will help scholars focus on the lessons!
Want to get a jumpstart on your Edgenuity reading? The books below will help you tackle your fall Language Arts class!
If you’re going into the 6th Grade, read these!

If you’re going into the 7th Grade, read these!

Summer Geography Fun!
We would love students to keep up all the fabulous work they have been doing on their geography skills.
There are a lot of fun activities you and your students can do to have fun and learn!
1. GeoGuessr
We have been using geoguessr in class. There is one free game a day, and it drops you in a random location, and you have to figure out using your skills of observation where you are.
2. Map Games
Map games are a fun way to see how much you know about different continents. In my household, we make it a competition to see who can get the most countries the fastest.
3. Quizizz
This is a quiz site that has quizzes on everything. They have some good geography ones, and it is fun to learn while playing and competing against each other.
4. Globe Games
If you have a globe or use a virtual one and randomly find a country. As a household research, different things about that country.
Things such as population, languages spoke, traditions, native plants, native animals, and maybe that country has a virtual tour of a zoo or something fun!
