Seneca vs Brambleton Boys Varsity Basketball Game
We kicked off the week with the Varsity Boys Basketball Team winning the league championship! What a great night to be a Senecadian! Not only did the effort and poise of our players have me swelling with pride, but the staff and students that came out to support were energetic and positive throughout the game. In true Philly fashion, our community took the high road while I taunted Brambleton's principal after the win. Do as I say, not as I do :)

All of this awesomeness... what more can we do this week?
LCPS Annual Family Surveys
Let me know if you didn't get the link on Monday. Hoping for over 400 families completing it this year.
Special Permission- We need these numbers early to properly schedule students!
Seneca and Dominion have the highest special permission numbers in the county of all middle and high schools respectively. If you are here now on special permission, the sooner you reapply (window opens on April 1), the better we can plan our schedules and class sizes. We also can't guarantee electives if we don't have everyone in the system.
The Special Permission window for 2023-2024 will open at 10:00 am. on April 1, 2023. The window will remain open from April 1 – June 30, 2023. Special permission may be approved if there is capacity at the requested school.
Policy 8155 allows middle and high school students to attend a school for multiple years, until the student completes the highest-grade level at the school where special permission was granted; however, parents are required to renew annually if they wish to remain on special permission at the school.
Please visit the LCPS Special Permission website to apply for special permission. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Office of Student Services at (571) 252-1021.
Unified Mental Health Team (UMHT)
Seneca’s UMHT: One of our goals is to provide families with information on community resources, access to basic needs, mental health and crisis counseling, reducing stress and anxiety, substance abuse resources, and resources to support learning. If interested, check out our resource page.

Attention 8th Grade Families: LCPS will be holding a Career and Apprenticeship Fair. The number of participating businesses will continue to grow. For more information, please click here.
