Parent Night: Internet Safety
The Upper Adams Intermediate School is collaborating with the Adams County Children's Advocacy Center to present important information regarding your child's internet safety and etiquette.
This event will be on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 6:00 PM, in the UAIS gymnasium.
The Internet Safety presentation is designed for parents/caregivers only, however, children are still welcome to attend and participate in alternative activities. Any accompanying children (kindergarten - 8th grade) will report to the cafeteria for their own specially planned activities provided by the Biglerville High School's LEO Club.
Internet Safety Presentation Topics:
✅ How to talk to your child about online safety
✅ Current apps kids are using and what you need to know about them
✅ Parental controls and privacy settings
✅ Cyberbullying and social media drama
✅ Dangers of the internet and what to do/resources used to help your child with social media problems
✅ How parents/caregivers can protect their children (BARK app)
✅ Creating an Internet Safety Plan together with your child(ren)
