Social Intelligence Matters
Kinder - 2nd Grade
Explain to students that social intelligence is noticing someone else's feelings and showing them that their feelings matter. Explain that the easiest way to show social intelligence is to show kindness to their peers. Then show students the video link below from Sesame Street.
Facilitate a classroom conversation using the following questions:
What acts of kindness did you see or hear about in the video?
How has someone treated you kindly? How did that make you feel?
Do you think it makes you happy when you show kindness to someone else? Why?
How can you show kindness to someone today?
