Consistent Expectations
This is a just a few reminders of some expectations that need to be consistent in all classrooms.
- Gum is not allowed during the school day. Please have your students spit out their gum if they choose to have it.
- All class lines should be quite as they are transitioning through the hallways. Please monitor an reinforce this expectations. If they are struggling, please work with admin to come up with ideas on how to get this done.
- Hats and hoods should not be worn in the class. Please remind them to take these off during the school day.

Apprentice Mentor Application Open- Please share with teacher leaders!
The Apprentice Mentor application is open in TalentEd for internal applicants only. The goal is to recruit and build an apprentice mentor pool of eligible candidates to serve as a mentor teacher for the Apprentice Teacher pathway. Please consider teacher leaders in your building that would be good mentor candidates and meet the following qualifications.
- Clinical Educator Training completed or refreshed within five years.
- Be highly effective on the three most recent available VAM scores or have a score of highly effective on three most recent available performance evaluations (summative).
- Have 7 or more years of teaching experience in Florida.
- Agree to have up to 1.5 more students.
- Willing to team teach with an apprentice for 2 years while ensuring the apprentice meets the apprenticeship requirements.
The Apprentice Mentor position is paid $4,000.00 for mentoring an Apprentice Teacher over two years. The mentor will be paid $2,000.00 after the first year and after the apprentice successfully completes the program the second year, the mentor will be paid another $2,000.00
The applicant will need to complete the application and respond “yes” to all required fields to be eligible. Additionally, all applicants will need a current Principal recommendation based on evidence of the recommended Apprentice Teaching Standards and Design Principles. If any questions are answered as “no” the applicant will be denied eligibility into Apprentice Mentor pool. The principal will work with applicant to provide feedback on next steps to be considered in the future.
Kagan Cooperative Learning 5-Day Institute
We are excited to invite all K-12 teachers to participate in Kagan Cooperative Learning 5-Day this summer.
This training is incredible and will make an impact on student engagement in your classroom. Please see this description and agenda for the week.
We have conveniently placed Kagan training sites across the county during the weeks of June 17th and June 24th. This training is from Monday-Friday from 8:00am-3:30pm with an hour lunch. Please find the week and location that best fits your needs.

Please note that we are paying for Kagan registration fees and materials. This training does not pay stipend. All participants will also receive 30 in-service points for participating and actively engaging.

Attendance:
Regular attendance is an essential function of every Pasco County Schools position. Satisfactory performance is characterized by being at work a sufficient number of days to accomplish the essential tasks of the position without having to distribute to other employees or to delay those essential tasks. If you are too sick to come to work, please email or text administration to notify them of your absence. You must also put your into Willsub (instructional) or TimeClock Plus. All leave must be approved in advance by administration. Complete the staff leave form below.
Flex Time:
Flex time is earned throughout the year. Points will be added to PBIS Rewards. If you would like to use Flex Time, you must purchase that time through PBIS Rewards, then complete the mach form below. This must happen 48 hours prior to flex time being used. Flex time must be pre-approved by your supervisor.
Activity Request Forms:
With the various activities, we are asking that for an activity on campus including field trips, celebrations, etc. that you fill out an activities request form. Once the form is received by administration, they will email to let you know that it is approved. The secretary will make sure that all others are notified such as custodians, the RMA, etc… The secretary will also add the event to our school calendar.
