Return to In-Person Instruction
Hybrid Students
Students who are currently coming to school in-person and designated as "Hybrid" A Group or B Group will be moved to 4 days a week starting on April 5th. Parents do not need to communicate with the school. Their child's designation will be changed automatically in Skyward.
Full Remote Students
It is a parent's choice to have their child remain a full remote student. Please remember the expectations for learning at home. They are listed below. Staff will be contacting parents if their child is not making adequate progress.
Remote Learning Expectations
Students need to participate in the zoom call in order to be considered present in class.
They can show they are engaged by:
- Unmuting and answering teacher questions
- Typing their answer in the chat; Asking a question in the chat
- Completing work and assignments in the google classroom
- Participating in an activity such as Pear Deck, Kahoot, Jamboard, or other online tools
Please know that it is an expectation that students demonstrate engagement throughout the entire class period. They need to be available to answer when a teacher asks them a question or be actively working on an assignment.
Teachers can monitor the student's usage of their school-issued Chromebook while in class remotely from home. Teachers are able to see when students are working on documents, navigating to the correct websites, and participating in online platforms.
Students learn best when they are in a location free of distractions.
Changing your Child's Learning Status
Parents that want to make a change to their child's learning status can do this by calling the main office. Requests for a change must be made by Friday, March 19th. 630-458-2515
Consistency is Critical
Students that are considered Hybrid are expected to come in person every day. Students may learn remotely only if they have gained permission from their grade level administrator or dean. Permission will be granted for circumstances that are due to health, a quarantine, or social-emotional considerations.
