Raymond Cree School Counseling On the Go

Greeting parents,

We hope you are well and we are here to provide continuity of school counseling services.

RCMS school counseling is working remotely to service our students and families.

What we have done to keep connected

  • Google Classroom: ALL students have been given a code to join a virtual and interactive google classroom with all the information and resources from social-emotional activities to 9th-grade transition information and resources for students and parents
  • A Virtual Spirt Week: Students and staff have been sharing new hobbies and activities they have been engaging in to keep learning and motivated
  • Parent Website: A new website specific to parents of incoming 6th graders in both English and Spanish
  • Tele-conferences to 8th students informing them of 9th-grade course selections
  • Updates on RCMS website: go to the website for up-to-date information and follow us on social media. Counseling section has resources for parents

What we are working on to expand our parent and student connection

  • Google Classroom for 5th-grade students: to inform them of important dates and information regarding the 6th-grade transition
  • Digital Elective forms: students will receive a digital elective selection course form through their google classroom
  • Collaboration: with 5th-grade feeder school teachers and counselors
  • Online Incoming 6th grade Parent Orientation: meetings throughout the month of May
  • Online 1:1 Meetings with Parents
  • Zooming with Counselors: every Wednesday students can zoom in with counselors for a "What's Up Wednesdays" special discussion on a specific topic
