Inclement Weather / e-Learning Day

e-Learning Tips and Reminders
- Encourage students to log-in to Canvas prior to the possible inclement weather / e-Learning Day to ensure that they have access.
- Students must log-on to https://mcboe.instructure.com to have access to MCSS Canvas courses. *If they Google the word Canvas, they will go to the wrong website and will not be able to login. Please encourage students to look for Madison County logo (white circle with blue letters). See below for photo details.
- Make sure your courses are published. If your courses are not published, the students will not be able to see them.
- Prior to possible inclement weather / e-Learning Day, make sure that students know where their assignment will be in the Canvas course.
- Preview the assignment with your students, and let them know your expectations.
- If you are uploading a document that the students need to use, please remember to first save the document as a pdf file, then upload it to Canvas. If you are not sure how to do this, please give me a call.
- Check all external links that you may ask the students to use.
- For those students who do not have a computer or Internet access, please provide a hand-held copy of the assignment.
- It's a good idea to be available for students' questions via the messaging feature in Canvas.
