HOPE!!!
The HOPE military appreciation group made 90 trail mix bags for the soldiers at the Paola armory national guard (Bravo Battery 2-130 FA Soldiers). The students prepared the food for the soldiers for one of their training weekends. The soldiers were very appreciative and the kids did a great job making and bagging the trail mix.
New Staff Spotlight!- Dan Doolittle
By Josslyn Fuller and Sylvie Klaasmeyer
7th grade Journalism Students
Experienced teacher, world traveler, and dedicated father are a few words that describe Mr. Doolittle. He has been teaching for 34 years. In those years he has taught in many different school districts, 7 different districts to be exact. He told us that: “ his favorite district that he has taught in is Paola.” He has also lived and taught in Papua New Guinea and said he learned things almost every day. While growing up his favorite subjects were lunch and history! His mom was a teacher and she inspired him to go into education. He said that he would not want to teach anything else besides social studies.
Mr. Doolittle loves his family. He has three kids. The oldest is Kelly, she is 28 and a teacher in Gardner. His middle child, Katie, is 26 and in her third year of vet school at Kansas State University. Jeffery, his son, is 22 and is a physical therapist.
When Mr. Doolittle was younger he played basketball and was in the band. Currently, he enjoys playing The Star Spangled Banner at sporting events and would like to try-out to play at Kauffman Stadium for a game.
Welcome to Paola Middle School, Mr. Doolittle! We are glad you are here.
