District Launching At-Home Learning April 14th
MEUSD is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all Redhawks and has been working diligently to construct a plan for teaching and learning to best support our students during the school closure.
The fabulous team at Clover Flat has been working hard to identify meaningful instructional activities for your child to do while he or she is at home for an extended period of time. Our goal in this work was to provide you with activities that are aligned with what your children typically do during the school day, recognizing it will not be the same as being in the classroom, but everything should be familiar. We worked to provide enough materials for each child to be engaged in academic learning for approximately two hours each day.
We certainly know there is a lot going on for families right now and recognize you may not be able to complete all of the activities given in a day....that is completely fine! Our intention is just to provide you with resources to keep your children actively learning and prevent regression while they are not coming to school. If your child experiences any frustration, please feel free to have them discontinue the activity or make adjustments to it.
If your child receives additional services, such as special education services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or counseling, you will be contacted individually to set up how your student will still receive support during this time.
For ALL students, if you have questions or need help with the school work, please reach out to your child's teacher via email. Teachers are available for consultation through email from 9:00-3:00 on Monday-Friday.
Tuesday, April 14, all schools will begin a distance learning program for students.
TK through 6th grade level students will complete work packets that have been prepared by grade level teachers.
Packets will be available online or to be picked up per the following schedule below.
For the health and safety of our families and staff, the pick-up option will be offered via a drive-through format along with the meal pick up.
Families wishing to pick up packets will form a car line and pick up the `packets at the front entrance to the building without exiting their cars.
Packets will be due Monday, April 27th.
