How limerick poems are written
A limerick is a humorous poem consisting of five lines. The first, second, and fifth lines must have seven to ten syllables while rhyming and having the same verbal rhythm. The third and fourth lines only have to have five to seven syllables, and have to rhyme with each other and have the same rhythm.
A cold women
There once was a women of ice.
she never knew how to be nice.
she spent all of her life,
on the edge of a knife,
cutting herself off from advice.
Rat
Once I had a rat
then I got a cat
the cat ate the rat
then i got a bat
and beat the cat
then I put him in a sack.
twins
There once was twins.
they always wanted to win,
they fought over toys,
when they were boys,
and know there still fighting as men.
