Truedell Public School
Newsletter #2
Happy Halloween!
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year. For our school based celebrations, staff and students will be invited to dress in black and orange on Friday October 30th. Parent Council will also be providing treat bags for students. Classrooms may hold small celebrations as well. To ensure students safety, students will not be able to wear costumes, or participate in the costume parade this year, and we will not be able to accept or distribute treats sent in by families.
We know that in spite of these changes, students will still have FUN! Thank you to Parent Council for providing treat bags for our students.
KFL& A Public Health
Student safety remains our priority. We continue to work with KFL& A Public Health to ensure our school safety procedures are as effective and robust as possible. Kelly Johnson, a nurse from KFL& A Public Health visited the school yesterday and will be sharing her recommendations with us early next week.
Thank you to our students for wearing their masks, keeping a safe distance from one another, and washing/sanitizing their hands.
Families can do their part by keeping students home when they are ill. This will help to keep everyone healthy this year! For easy reference, a link to the student COVID-19 Screening Tool which must be completed each morning when deciding whether your student is able to attend school.
