Greeting Eastridge Families,
We have had a fantastic 10 days of school at Eastridge! This week, our staff has been busy continuing the important work of teaching C.O.R.E. principles in all settings across the school. The acronym C.O.R.E. standards for Civility, Order, Respect, and Excellence. C.O.R.E is what we stand for at Eastridge and in the entire Warren Township community. We are explicitly teaching expected behaviors from the time students get on the bus in the morning, until the time they get off the bus in the afternoon. Each student will be expected to know the desired behaviors and will be responsible for doing his/her part in helping school staff in developing a safe and positive environment for everyone. We will also appreciate your support with C.O.R.E. at home! Safety and security are paramount each and every day, and I thank you for your efforts with ensuring expectations are respected.
Warmest regard,
Mrs. Johnson

School Safety Reminders
*Important safety reminders regarding our procedures. Please note that some of our school safety procedures must remain confidential and internal for purposes of emergency prevention and protection.
Students should arrive at school no earlier than 7:55 AM. Please do not drop off students prior to this time.
Car riders -Stay inside your vehicle and follow car rider procedures at all times.
All secure entrance and visitor check-in procedures remain in place through the main office, and we appreciate your patience while you are waiting in the office.
All visitors will be required to show ID upon entering the front doors. In addition, an ID will be required so that we may verify a background check on file, and issue a visitor badge.
Visitors to our school will not be permitted in hallways during arrival and dismissal times, and parents will not be allowed to walk students to class. Kindergarten parents can walk their student to the cafeteria at 8:05 AM.
Background checks may take several days/weeks to process. Please be mindful of the length of processing prior to scheduling your school visit.
Visitors or Parents should schedule visits in advance with students teacher to visit classroom during instructional times.
Visitors or Parents will not be allowed to attend recess sessions.
Every adult in the building must wear a school-issued ID at all times.
Additional Information
- Visitors Background Checks: Volunteers must have a valid background check on file in the front office as well as be included on a students emergency contact form for any type of school volunteer opportunities. If you would like to complete this process or have any questions please stop by our front office.
- Student Absences: If your child is ill and will not be at school, please call the front office at 532-3150 to report his/her absence. Please call and report if your child will be arriving late to school due to a doctor’s appointment. Doing so helps us to know that your child is safe and with you.
SCHOOL DISTRICT PUBLICATIONS/ NEWS MEDIA USE FOR STUDENTS
The occasion may arise when the school district wants to recognize your child or your child’s school. This may include your child’s photo, your child’s name or your child’s work in district publications, newsletters, on school district websites, and in electronic/social media or in staff training videos. We may also want to tell the media (including newspapers, television, and radio) about your child’s achievements. We never knowingly release information about a student to anyone who wants to use it for commercial/political purposes. However, we will honor your request to not include your child in these types of recognition if you notify your child’s school office in writing that you do not want this type of information released.
