Kindergarten Kingdom News...

Mrs. Johnson's and Mrs. Lawlor's Kindergarten Class

We are learning...

Language Arts and Reading: We read books about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln as we studied about President's Day this week. We talked about describing words. Ask you student if he/she remembers what the big word for a describing word is! (adjective)

Math: We reviewed teen numbers this week. See the link below for one of our favorite songs!

Numbers in Their Teens

Science and Social Studies: We talked about President's Day this week. We are practicing for our program- A Salute to America- daily! We hope your student is singing some patriotic songs for you at home!

Things to remember...

  • Our Kindergarten program~A Salute to America~will be on Thursday, February 25th, at 9:00 am in the Kedron cafeteria. We hope you can join us as we celebrate our great country!
  • Students need to wear blue jeans (or other dark colored pants) the day of our program. Students will put on the "flag t-shirts" (that are here at school) the morning of the program. The "flag t-shirts" will come home with your student AFTER the program for them to keep.
  • Please remember to send a healthy snack daily. Our "extra" snack supply is running low again. If you would like to donate an extra snack to our classroom, we could use Goldfish crackers, pretzels, animal crackers (or any other non-nutty item you would like) for those days when students forget to bring a snack.
