Week 11 ROAR!
Waterbury Community,
It has been an exciting week welcoming back second and third grade students to in-person learning!
Next week we will be welcoming back 4th and 5th grade hybrid students. We are looking forward to seeing you in class!
A few reminders:
1. 4th and 5th graders are asynchronous (no live teaching) on Monday, November 2nd. Teachers are preparing for their return to in-person learning on Wednesday, November 4th.
2. There is no school Tuesday, November 3rd, as it is an election holiday.
3. The drop off zone now has two drop offs. The closest to the school is typically for K-2nd graders. The island is for 3-5th graders. For families with both K-2 and 3-5 kids, the kids will unite on the black top/basketball hoop area and the car driver may choose which spot.
Have a happy and safe weekend!
Thank you.

Waterbury Wildcats are Wild about Reading!
This year’s virtual Family Reading Night, or FRN for short, will be on Tuesday, November 17 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Our theme this year is Waterbury Wildcats are Wild about Reading! The night will start off with the Roselle Youth Services Librarians reading an animal-themed book followed by Dr. Pokora, with his face painted like an animal, reading one of Sandra Markle’s books. Afterwards, Ms. Kwak will teach the students how to draw an animal and we will play a video of some of Mrs. Reynolds’s students performing a Readers’ Theater of Where the Wild Things Are.
There will be a canvas bag raffle decorated with paw prints by one of our Waterbury teachers. We will also raffle off 7 animal books written by Sandra Markle.
Congrats to our Jack-o-Lantern Design Winners!
