Red Ribbon Week Continues!
During Red Ribbon Week, communities across the country wear red ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the killing and destruction caused by drugs in America. Red Ribbon Week serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities.

Lions of Little Rock
This semester, CMSN is reading The Lions of Little Rock by Kristin Levine as our One Book One School campaign. We have lots of great activities and lessons planned around our book. We will have trivia questions each week and our students can win some great prizes.
Here's a little bit more about the book...
Two girls separated by race form an unbreakable bond during the tumultuous integration of Little Rock schools in 1958. Twelve-year-old Marlee doesn't have many friends until she meets Liz, the new girl at school. Liz is bold and brave, and always knows the right thing to say, especially to Sally, the resident mean girl. Liz even helps Marlee overcome her greatest fear - speaking, which Marlee never does outside her family. But then Liz is gone, replaced by the rumor that she was a Negro girl passing as white. But Marlee decides that doesn't matter. Liz is her best friend. And to stay friends, Marlee and Liz are willing to take on integration and the dangers their friendship could bring to both their families.
Lunch Information
If you are sending lunch money to school with your child, please write their first and last name on the envelope and/or check. This will ensure that the money is credited to the correct account. You may also pay online. Go to the Cabot School District webpage. Click on the Resources for Parents tab. Click on the EZschoolpay tab.
Students/Parents/Guardians are encouraged to pay for meals in advance via www.ezschoolpay.com, cash or check. A student will be allowed to charge a maximum of $10.00.
