MOMS Club® of Buckingham North

May 2016 Minutes for Moms

Message from the President

Being a mom is one of the hardest jobs. We're all figuring it out as we go, hoping that we are getting it right. Although we live in a technology enhanced world and have so much information at our fingertips, it can almost be overwhelming at times. Whose advice do you take? Which sites are credible? What does the latest research show? Which are the best products on the market? Each day we are teachers, mentors, cheerleaders to our children. We are their shoulder to cry on, their refuge and support person. We are the center of their world and the one they look up to each day. We want what is best for them and for them to grow up healthy and happy. We want them to make good life choices, achieve goals and have fun and enjoy life. We as mothers are all in one big universal support group together- all trying to do our best, trying to get it right each day. So in case someone hasn’t told you yet today- you are doing a great job. You are a wonderful mother and even though there are a lot of hard days you are doing it and doing it well.

So happy Mother's Day to all my fellow moms and comrades! Cheers to you!

Casey Poretta
Beautycounter’s mission is to get safe products into the hands of everyone. Decades of studies indicate serious health issues are on the rise, due in some part to our ongoing exposure to toxic chemicals. I am sure most of you pay attention to what you are putting in your body, but have you thought about what you are putting on your body? There are over 10,500 ingredients used in the cosmetics industry, but an estimated 90% of those have never been assessed for safety by any publicly accountable body. Beautycounter has banned more than 1,500 ingredients, inspiring a major shift in the personal care market toward safety, transparency, and accountability. Interested in learning more? Super Mom

Mom, you're a wonderful mother,

So gentle, yet so strong.

The many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I belong.

You're patient when I'm foolish;
You give guidance when I ask;
It seems you can do most anything;
You're the master of every task.

You're a dependable source of comfort;
You're my cushion when I fall.
You help in times of trouble;
You support me whenever I call.

I love you more than you know;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!
