Why Graphic Novels Are Story Telling Quicksand for Reluctant Readers
As the Holidays Approach...
Looking Ahead
The Barrington librarians are all working to become Common Sense Media certified this school year. We will be using lessons from this curriculum to teach digital citizenship.
Common Sense Media is an amazing resource for educators, students, and parents. Parents can use it to get ratings on books, movies, apps, websites, games and more.
I will be sending home more information about what lessons I am working on with your child's class so that you can continue the discussion at home. In this quick-paced, ever-changing world, Common Sense Media gives us the unique opportunity to team up and join forces in order to keep your children safe and knowledgeable about internet use.
