Database Administrators have the responsibility to track and access their own company's business, as well as to make sure that their technology is presentable and fully functioning, so it can easily be accessed and utilized. These people make an average of $79,120 per year, which is about $38 per hour. There are roughly 112,000 people who worked as database administrators as of March 29th, 2013. A person that would well with this job would be someone that is intelligent, hardworking, and persistent; not to mention having a broad based knowledge of computer systems, logical thinking, and also needing to know how work with details and organizing and processing information. DA's also need to have good written and verbal communication skills. Someone who would like this job is a person who really likes computers and believes that people’s personal information should be kept safe, and/or who believes privacy is best.
