"Reach Every Student Every Day"

  • The Trumpet of the Swan readings for Monday are Chapters 14-15.
  • The November Reading Challenge was sent home on Thursday. Students need to read for 15-20 minutes (minimum) for each challenge. They can only complete 1 challenge each day. Please initial each box as they complete them. November Challenges are due the first day of school in December (Dec. 3rd). Students will earn their pizza certificate and their "Earth" brag tag. Keep those wonderful readers reading!
  • I also sent home the I am NOT a Turkey! project information on Thursday. Students must disguise a turkey (at home) and return it to school on Monday, November 12th. I encourage the students to be creative as they disguise their turkeys and not just color them. If they need help with materials, such as construction paper, please have them let me know! There are a ton of ideas on Pinterest! Turkey disguises must be appropriate for school. Here is a site with a few ideas to get some wheels spinning.

Halloween Party

THANK YOU to everyone that contributed to making our Halloween Party a success. The kids had so much fun playing the games, and the food and drinks were great, too! Here are a few pictures from the party.

Pumpkin Catapults

On Tuesday, the students worked hard in their groups to build a catapult to launch a candy pumpkin. They did a great job and worked well together. We were surprised with how far some of them launched!
