Lost & Found

Has your child misplaced their coat, water bottle, or lunch box? Worthington Park's office staff is setting up tables for parents to come and check our lost in found next school week. From December 6th-10th parents and students can check lost & found tables near the cafeteria to claim any lost items.

All unclaimed items will be donated after December 13th. Thank you!

Drop Off / Pick Up Loop Reminders

Both our drop-off loop and pick-up loops are moving smoothly daily. Thank you to all of our parents for their patience as we ensure the students exit and enter vehicles safely. A few quick reminders to help the process move quickly.

Drop Off

  • Drop Off starts daily at 7:35 am
  • Please have your child as ready as possible when approaching the building.
  • We ask that students exit the vehicle on the passenger side of the car for safety purposes.
  • We ask that parents remain in their vehicles.

Pick Up

  • Dismissal begins at 2:25 pm
  • Staff will bring students outside. If possible please continue to use the yellow cards with your child's name and grade level.
  • We ask parents to remain in vehicles.
  • Staff members will guide traffic patterns. Please do not drive around other cars unless directed by staff

Thank you for your assistance in this process!

Winter Weather Reminder

As the weather continues to fluctuate, we want to encourage all students to come to school daily with a winter coat, hat, and gloves. Per our Elementary Handbook:

Weather and health permitting, we expect all children to go outside for recess. In our schools, when the weather is dry/dry enough, and the temperature is 20 degrees or higher, real temperature, or wind-chill, we plan to take students outside for recess.

Thank you for helping keep our Sharks warm on the playground!

PreSchool Peer Modeling at Sutter Park 22-23

Have a younger student who may be starting Preschool next year? Sutter Park here in Worthington Schools may be an option for your family. Below is some information from Mrs. Patricia Winland- the Prinicipal at Sutter Park. Click the informal flyer to the right for more information.

Hello Families! The program at Sutter Park is designed so that preschool children with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) receive educational services in an environment with typically developing peers. The play-based preschool program focuses on providing educational opportunities for all preschool children which will enable them to grow, develop and learn from one another.

We are the only public preschool for the Worthington City School District and are located in the Northwest part of Worthington off of Hard Road. Any student who is a resident of the school district may attend Sutter Park!

We currently have 14 Inclusion classrooms that contain half typical peers and half students with disabilities. All of our teachers are licensed through the Ohio Department of Education and hold a teaching license specializing in Early Childhood. Our program at Sutter Park has been rated 5 stars (the highest you can achieve) by Ohio’s Preschool Rating System: Step Up to Quality.

Peer role models are an important part of our school community. Are you interested in having your child attend Sutter Park next school year as a typical peer? We will have openings for peers in our morning session (birthday is between 8/1/18 and 7/31/19) and for our afternoon session (birthday is between 10/1/16 and 7/31/18). Children placed as typically developing peer models must be potty-trained and score age-appropriate on two questionnaires. The tuition is $135.00 per month, (you may qualify for reduced or free tuition) parents provide transportation, and families must reside in the Worthington School District.

If you are interested, please call the main office at 614-450-4900 or email Tricia Winland at pwinland@wscloud.org.

Reporting a case of Covid or close contact exposure

If your child tests positive for Covid-19 or has a "close contact exposure" outside of school, please complete a report at this link or call the Covid hotline at 614-450-3900.

All Worthington Buildings are Nut Free

Just a reminder that all buildings in Worthington Schools are nut-free as they were last year. We want to create a PEANUT/NUT FREE environments in order to protect students with life-threatening allergies. Parents and guardians are asked NOT TO PACK SCHOOL LUNCHES or send any food items to school that contain NUTS or NUT PRODUCTS.

Tennis Opportunity for Worthington Students

Hello parents! My name is Bhuvandder Gattikoppula and I’m a Junior at Thomas Worthington High School. I'm sending this message on behalf of The Dublin Tennis Outreach Program (DTOP). DTOP is a high school student-led nonprofit that eliminates the cost barrier around tennis and provides free tennis lessons to kids K-5. In doing so, we hope to get kids interested and have fun with the sport of tennis, developing and fostering passions that they might have.

Currently, we are hosting virtual tennis classes over zoom where we teach kids the fundamentals of tennis while incorporating fun drills and games. In the past, we've held in-person clinics at The Racket Club of Columbus and are currently working to go back in person! This spring, we will move outdoors (TWHS, pending) and play tennis outside using the skills we learned over the winter! To register for our email list (commitment free), simply sign-up using this google form below! (google form link) If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us or check out our website. Hope to see you soon!
