Updates From CB South
CB South Cheerleaders Embrace Community Service!
The CB South cheerleaders recently partnered with "The Breathing Room Foundation" to support the community. The cheerleaders supplied The Breathing Room with 300 snack bags that were distributed throughout local hospitals for patients and their families who are undergoing chemotherapy. Each bag included a drink, a snack and a photo of the cheerleaders with inspirational signs.
The CB South cheerleaders also worked with The Bucks County Opportunity Council to provide three back packs complete with supplies for disadvantaged children. This will allow the children to be able to start this school year with supplies they would need for a successful year.
Currently, the CB South cheerleaders are volunteering time at Neshaminy Manor.
Titan Forum Buddies
CB South's Senior Class has partnered with Titus Elementary students this year through the Titan Forum Buddies Program. Recently, Mr. London’s and Mr. Balkit’s Titan Forum students Skype called their "Titus Buddies", Mrs. London and Mrs. Schroop’s 4th grade classes. During the call, two CB South Seniors, Natalie Capobianco and Monica Garced, read “We the Kids,” a story that celebrates Constitution Day.

PSAT Information
The PSAT is scheduled for Saturday, October 14th at CB South. Registration for this year's test begins Friday, September 8th and continues through 7:00 AM on Monday, October 9th. The test begins at 8am but we ask all participating students to be here by 7:40 AM so the test can begin promptly at 8:00 AM.
The cost for the PSAT is $22 and registration must be completed through MyPaymentsPlus. After a student registers, he or she will receive a PSAT Practice Booklet in their Titan Forum within a few days.
Students should be prepared for the test by bringing a calculator and several #2 pencils. Extra batteries are also a good idea. The test should be completed by 11:30 AM but times may vary from room to room. Room assignments will be posted at South a few days before the test.
College Visits For Juniors and Seniors
Each year over 125 colleges come to CB South to meet with our juniors and seniors. These small-group sessions are a great way to find out more information about the individual college and get to talk directly to an admissions rep. Each visit is 20 minutes long at the end of the block and most are held in the Student Center in the main hallway.
To find the list of colleges scheduled, go to your Naviance website and click on COLLEGES. On the right side of the screen you will see the upcoming colleges visits and a link to see the complete list. Select the college you want and then SIGN UP. Your confirmation screen is your pass to leave class for the visit. Add the college name to "COLLEGES I AM INTERESTED IN" and you will receive an email reminder. The list is updated weekly so check it out often.
