NOTES and SUCH
Parents,
We would like to remind you that it is very important to send notes or communication forms if your child is doing anything different than their regular end of the day schedule (including being picked up early). The end of the day is usually a very busy time and it is most helpful if your child's teacher is informed at the beginning of the day so they (and your child) can be prepared. We try to limit disruptions to our classes throughout the day as much as we can, so please try to refrain from calling the office with change of plans unless it is an emergency. If you need more communication forms, send a note and we will send some home to you. We appreciate your help and understanding.
LOBBYGUARD
We will continue to use LobbyGuard for all visitors to Symmes. Once you enter our lobby, you will be directed to the LobbyGuard station. There you will scan your ID (driver's license), have your photo taken, then you will be issued a visitor's badge.
Dropping off?
We encourage all families to use our safe and reliable bus transportation to and from school. On those occasions when you need to drop your student off please be aware of the following guidelines.
Drop off at Symmes Elementary is open from 9:00-9:13
Please enter the driveway and stay to the right.
Be aware of buses that may pass on your left.
Keep driveways and entrances clear.
You will be directed into the north (gym and walking track side) parking lot in groups of 5 cars.
When you pull up to the sidewalk, children should open their door and exit on the school/passenger side of car.
Wait to pull away when all cars in front of you have unloaded.
For students who need assistance unloading, parents should park and walk their child to the school.
Please refer to the photo below to see the flow of traffic.
After 9:13 am, drop off is closed and parents must walk their child into the main
office and sign him or her in.
Please do NOT drop off and leave!
