Welcome Back FHS Families
2022: Back to School updates and communication
Welcome Back from Principal Hand:
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Fridley High School! My name is Patty Hand, and I am the proud principal here at FHS. I am thrilled to serve as a member of this caring community whose focus is to support success for each and every student. I believe strongly in leading a culturally responsive community of learners, in which students, staff members, and families collaborate to support our climate to ensure it is a caring, inclusive community for all.
As we learned a lot these past few years about timely communication for families, we are going to follow the same format we used last year at Fridley High School; we are going to use the back-to-school family S’mores newsletter to share up to date information over the next month. The information will be time stamped in order for you to see there has been an update to the information. Please check out this link every week, and please scroll all the way through the newsletter as there is important information throughout.
A couple of key items to pay attention to in this newsletter:
- Our student daily schedule
- Our Open House date: Wednesday, August 31st, at Fridley High School, 1-6pm
- Our first day of school dates:
- Tuesday, September 6th for all NEW students and our 9th and 12th graders
Wednesday, September 7th for ALL students
Our LifeTouch pictures opportunities are:

Thursday, September 8th during the school day

Again, I am so happy to welcome you to this school year. I miss our students dearly and can’t wait to support them in their success!
Sincerely,
Patty Hand
