One More Day of MAP Testing!

MAP Testing Highlights
Key Points:
- Fully remote students will not be assessed, they will have asynchronous work on Wednesday and Thursday with two check-ins (8am and 9am) with the teacher.
We will follow an alternate bell schedule Nov. 9-12.
Nov. 13 we will follow a normal bell schedule.
Lunch time, Nov. 9-12, will be at the same time as it always is for your student.
Remote students will take part in Digital Citizenship Lessons while in-person students are taking the assessments. These lessons may be with a different teacher than their block 1-2 teachers, so watch emails for Teams meeting invites.
Students will be assigned some asynchronous work during the block of time students are taking assessments at school. They may not be with a teacher the whole block (7:40-10:00).
At 10:04, students will move through their day following the order of their classes and the adjusted bell schedule.

iPad Charger Information
Has Your Student Lost Their Buffett Assigned Charger?
Per the Technology User Agreements signed by parents and students, accessories (chargers and bags) are not covered by the Apple Warranty or the Optional Protection Plan.
LOST Charger and Cable: The replacement cost of a lost charger (brick and cable) is $38.
LOST Charger (brick): $19
LOST Cable: $19
Unfortunately, we ask that you do not purchase your own charger to replace the lost one. Only Apple brand chargers are allowed. Off-brand chargers or chargers that are not the right voltage tend to wear on the iPad battery or cause charging issues with the iPad.
To ensure this does not happen we ask that you report the charger lost and allow us to provide a new charger rather than trying to purchase one on your own. A fine can be assessed for you to pay.
No Place for Hate Pledge Signing
November 18 will be our school’s official “pledge” signing day for our Resolution for Respect. Our school is hoping to earn the title of a “No Place for Hate” school for the 2020-2021 school year and the first step to earn that status is to get the students and staff to sign the No Place for Hate pledge.
The students and staff will sign the pledge via a Form sent to their Office 365 email on Wednesday, November 18th. The Form will ask if the person will Agree or Disagree with the following statements. We hope to get 100% participation with our whole school body in completing the Form. Thank you, Bobcats!
If you have any questions about No Place for Hate, contact the club sponsors, madison.mckim-richards@ops.org or amy.tunning@ops.org
Here is the Pledge:
- I will seek to gain understanding of those who are different from me.
- I will speak out against prejudice and discrimination.
- I will reach out to support those who are targets of hate.
- I will promote respect for people and help foster a prejudice-free school.
- I believe that one person can make a difference-no person can be an "innocent" bystander when it comes to opposing hate.
- I recognize that respecting individual dignity and promoting intergroup harmony are the responsibilities of all students.
