MEDICATION PICK UP

• Parents are responsible for coming to Eastland Elementary to pick up their children's medication.
• Medication pick up will start on Thursday, May 25 and run through Friday, June 2.
• If medication is not picked up by 2:00PM on Friday, June 2nd it will be discarded.
• The only 'medication' we will be sending in students' backpacks will be cough drops.

These are being sent home in hopes to keep the love of reading going through the summer with some fun incentives along the way!

Eastland Elementary library will be open on Thursday's from June 8th - August 3rd from 3:30 - 5:30p.m.

Eastland Jr/Sr High School library will be open on Friday's from 9:00 - 11:00a.m. from June 9th - August 4th.

The Lanark Public library hours are Tues., Wed., & Fri. from noon - 5:00 p.m., Thursday from noon - 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

All students can take AR quizzes at the Lanark Public Library (even without a library card). A Lanark Public Library card is necessary to check out materials.

Doors will open at 8:45am each day for drop off at EES Main Door 1.

Pick up will be at 12:00pm. Please park in the parking lot or diagonal spots for pick up.

Transportation will be provided - more details on routes will be coming soon!

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION INFORMATION

SIGNING UP for your time slot: As mentioned in the previous notice, we will be running group rotations with students and parents. In order to make sure those groups do not become overwhelming, we will be filling group numbers for the following dates on a first come first serve basis. Please call Eastland Elementary School at 815-864-2300 to reserve your spot for Tuesday, July 11 or Wednesday, July 12 from 4:30-6:30. Registration will take place the entire 4:30-6:30 timeslot.

PAPERWORK: Included with this letter is a packet of paperwork to complete for your student entering Kindergarten. Please bring the packet to Eastland Elementary School on the night of your scheduled Kindergarten Registration night on July 11 or July 12.

THINGS to BRING: In addition to the packet of paperwork, please bring the following when you come in on July 11 or 12.

• Copy of birth certificate (we can make a copy for you if need be)

• 2 forms of documentation for proof of residency (e.g. drivers license, utility bill, rental agreement, etc. with current address)

• Money for school fees ($50) or the completed school fee waiver

ON JULY 11 or 12: During Kindergarten Registration the following will occur

• Opportunity to ask questions and complete paperwork

• Kinder student and their parent(s) will start in the cafeteria for a brief introduction

• Please do not bring siblings along with you, if at all possible. We would like to have the opportunity to have the best focus on you and your kindergarten child.

• Students and parents will be broken into 3 groups

• Group activities will include: play based rotations, snack, and a parent info session

• Rotations will occur with parents nearby for any support needed from the teachers

• Nurse and Transportation will be available for paperwork and questions
