Tax Time
FILING WITH TAX TIME VOLUNTEERS
The tax filing deadline is Tuesday, April 15, 2024. Be sure to schedule an appointment earlier in the season, as our appointments are limited and may fill up. Virtual appointments will close prior to the tax deadline to ensure our volunteers can process all applicants in a timely manner.
Tax Time volunteers only file federal and state taxes. For information on where and how to file local taxes with the City of Columbus, click here.

Child Allowance/ Tax Credit is Available to over 90% of Families
The American Rescue Plan, increased the Child Tax Credit to provide up to $300 per month per child under age 6, and up to $250 per month per child ages 6 to 17. Receive payments that put cash in your family’s pocket every month for the things you need.
Parents do not have to have a social security number, but can use a ITIN. Child is required to have a social security number. If you did not file a tax return you can use the

Age groups vary by center, please check with your community center for available age groups from 4-17. Fees range from $35 to $60 and include uniforms.
