Meet Guy Chambers

Guy Chambers will serve as Administrative Assistant at the Region 14 Hopewell office.


From Guy: "Hello Everyone!


My name is Guy Chambers, and I am the new Administrative Assistant at the Region 14 Hopewell Center. I am so excited to be joining Team SOESC and am looking forward to meeting or interacting with each and every one of you. I am a Hillsboro native, born and raised, but just moved back into the area after completing my master's degree in Vocal Performance with a focus on opera at UNC Greensboro in Greensboro, North Carolina. In my spare time, you can find me in a hammock reading my favorite book with my dog Baxter or cooking a huge meal in the kitchen for my family because I love cooking!


Here at Region 14, I will be taking on the Pre-School EMIS as well as several other administrative duties such as scheduling the conference rooms and doing any purchase orders for the center. This is just a brief overview of me and some of the things I will be doing for the SOESC!"

Grant received for Southern Ohio Learning Center students!

Charlie Hargrave "This past year I brought my guitar to school to show the students. Several took an interest in it. I saw where the Clinton County Commissioners were offering a grant for the Arts. I decided to apply for the grant. In the grant application, I asked for 10 guitars, straps, books, tuners, and a supply of pics. The grant totaled approximately $3000. We were awarded the grant and will have the equipment before this year begins. I have some hopes and dreams about where this could lead. I am hoping it will be a nice outlet for our students."
