Individual Counseling
Group Counseling
Every term we offer a variety of group options for our students. This is a way for students to grow with fellow students who have similar experiences.
Our groups are all open, which means students can join at any time so long as there are seats available. An intake session with a counselor is required before joining a group.
Crisis Counseling
During business hours - 9am-4:30pm: A counselor will see you as soon as possible. Your safety is our #1 concern. Do not hesitate to reach out if you feel like you are in a crisis. We look forward to seeing you.
After Business Hours: Call Campus Safety at 309-341-7979 and they can help you in reaching assistance. Call 9-1-1 if there is any immediate danger to self or others.
To speak to a skilled, trained counselor at a 24 hour crisis center, call 1.800.273.8255.
Outreach
To request an outreach event, please complete the online Outreach Request Form or print a hard copy if you prefer. Please submit requests a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event date.

Mental Health Screening Day
Taking a mental health screening is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition. Mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety, are real, common, and treatable. And recovery is possible.
Stop by Counseling Services to take a free and anonymous mental health assessment. Your assessment will be scored and you will meet with a counselor one-on-one in a confidential setting to go over your results, discuss resources, and get set up for treatment if needed.

Self-Care Anchors
Your academic success is very important, but can be greatly affected by poor self-care and wellness. We are introducing self-care anchors as a way to be proactive and stay afloat!
Self-care anchors are small, daily actions that keep you “anchored” when the waves of life roll in! They are used as a way to identify things that can be done to help keep you focused on your wellness and goals, and to be able to better manage stress.
We will be having two events that are targeted specifically towards academic success and how to use anchors as a part of self-care.
Some daily examples of anchors may include:
· Taking a walk after class
· Journaling
· Organizing for the next day
· Reviewing class notes
· Listening to your favorite playlist
· Having quiet time to reflect and relax
· Eat a healthy breakfast
· Calling or texting a loved one
