Texas Tech University Mascot, The Masked Raider
Texas Tech Mascot attends all the football, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. He goes around shaking hands, taking pictures, and tries to warm up the crowd. To be a mascot, tryouts fall around the end of spring.
Texas Tech President
Duane Nellis was introduced on March 25 as the 16th president of Texas Tech University by Chancellor Kent Hance. Duane has worked in high education for about 25 years now.
Football
Texas Tech University is located at Jones AT&T Stadium. Every fall many fans come out and watch the games.
Baseball
Baseball events are held at Dan Law Field. Catching a foul ball, spilling peanuts in the bleachers, watching that incredible home run all happen here at the ball park.
Volleyball
Don Flora, head coach of women's volleyball, loves working with the girls. He loves helping and improving them in there work.
Track & Field
Wes Kittley, official coach of Texas Tech track & field, has been coaching for 14 years. Under his coaching, so far, 10 of his students have been Olympic qualifiers.
Golf
Greg Sands and JoJo Robertson are both head golf coaches. They enjoy working with there students and making them better athletes.
Basketball
Tubby Smith, head coach of the men's basketball team, is truly a legend. He has been part of 744 collegiate wins and has gone to the NCAA 23 times.
