The Week's Notes
The Week's Notes
GRADING PERIOD TWO Please make sure your grades are updated by Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. I will print report cards Tuesday the 12th. K and 1- please have your report cards in my mailbox on Tuesday the 12th. Awards will be in your mailboxes please have these ready to go in my mailbox on Thursday the 14th. You will present these on Thursday night at the awards assembly. Homeroom teachers should have 1 award for each learner. To keep the awards assembly time efficient, specials teachers should limit their awards to one learner per grade. Please let me know if there are questions.
JANUARY STAFF MEETING: The January staff meeting is today. Please come prepared with the tax information that I sent earlier in the month via email. Connie Pacanovsky, our parish business manager, will be presenting at our meeting in regards to some new information needed from you. We will also be discussing our OCSAA School Improvement Plan at the meeting. This information is VERY important- OCSAA will meet with each of you in March (see below) and ask you questions about our plan. It is very important that you understand this information.
ACCREDITATION: Please mark your calendars for March 10th and 11th. OCSAA will be coming out for these 2 days to look over our plan for improvement for the next few years. Please be prepared to discuss our plan at our January (11th) Staff Meeting and during our PLC. OCSAA will speak with each of you individually in March.
2nd QUARTER Awards Assembly: Please mark your calendar for January 14th at 5:30 p.m. Our SVDP CC has requested the Awards Assembly be in conjunction with Report Card Pickup/Family Meeting. Dinner will be provided. The Awards Assembly will begin at 6:00 p.m. Our parents would love to a be a part of the awards their children receive, but are typically unable to take off work to attend. This is a great opportunity for our learners. This is a one-time event, not every quarter assembly.
OPEN HOUSE: Our Open House is Sunday, January 24th from 12-2. You are expected to be here the entire time and mingling and talking with prospective families and learners. During these next two weeks, please be sure spruce up your hallways with academic work that highlights the wonderful work going on in your classrooms. Please also make sure to have some type of technology integration (much like our early Open House this year), to highlight tech as a strong focus and cornerstone for our academic program.
