District Common Assessments
What are they?
- Common Assessments are nine-weeks tests given at the end of the 1st and 3rd nine-weeks period assessing student mastery of TEKS taught throughout the school year. These assessments are given online through the Dallas Assessment Navigator platform. The tests are created in collaboration with Dallas ISD Teaching and Learning.
When are they taken?
- Teachers will give these assessments in class between 10/5 and 10/13.
Why are they administered?
- Common Assessments provide teachers with valuable and timely data to guide instruction. Dallas ISD uses the data to monitor and support schools.
What if my child is absent during a testing day?
- Students will be provided an opportunity to make-up Common Assessment exams upon their return to campus. Students will be responsible for making up missed classwork for classes missed for retakes.
