Cyber Security Alert
Our CFISD Mental Health Intervention Team would like to share the attachment (warning: potentially scary picture of Momo is within the attachment) with you regarding the "Momo Challenge." Please use it to educate yourself on what many of our students are currently discussing at our schools (Pre K-12th).
It's a page explaining the Momo phenomenon, talking about some of the reality behind the scare, and offering suggestions for parents and teachers on internet safety.
Please watch the news clip, which includes a child psychiatrist discussing the issue:

Our goal is not to advertise (the Momo Challenge) but to inform.
The most important takeaway is for us to all to be aware of what our children are watching and to teach them to report if they see something scary to an adult.

Car Rider Drop Off Safety
Whether dropping off in the front for morning arrival, or in the back for Dance or Choir clubs, please remember not to pull out or around other cars after your child has gotten out. We have a staff member stationed at the front of the line to ensure that all children have safely cleared the driveway before they wave all cars ahead. Your children’s safety is our number one priority. Thank you for waiting a few extra moments to ensure that children cross safely.
News from our Nurse!
Wed. May 8th, we will be certifying parents to be certified Vision and Hearing screeners here at Rennell. If you are interested in attending this class, please email or call Nurse Jenise Galey. We need a final list by April 1st. The certification is good for 5 years!
Art News
Stage Brush
Stagebrush is starting to work on sets for our end of the year show Crazy Town at Redhawk Gultch. We are in need of supplies for paper mache (glue), newspaper (lots), brown latex paint (any shades), masking tape, and large paint brushes (3-inch house painting sizes). Supplies can be dropped off in the front office and labeled Stagebrush. We still need at least three (if not more) parent volunteers for each of the groups in grade 3-5. If you have a student involved or love art, please consider signing up with Mr. Stabe.
REDtrizity Choirs
We have decided to postpone the previously scheduled March 5 concert at the Towne Lake Boardwalk. The students are learning much harder material and we want them in tip top shape for our big end of year performance.
