NACP Parents In the Know
News From Our Principal, Dr. Guerrero
WEEK 27 - APRIL 16, 2021
Message from the Principal
Happy Friday to all of you! We've been a little busy at NACP getting the campus and everything else ready for our upcoming reopening. I will list some of the things that have been happening, but please know that there's a lot more going on than I can list.
Teachers are preparing classrooms and planning lessons for a hybrid reopening model where students whose parents selected that they participate in in-person instruction and those wishing to remain on distance learning will will do so. All this while still delivering daily instruction, interventions and testing!
Office staff have continued to enroll students for the following school year, plus they've been working non-stop to ensure all supplies were ordered and distributed in each classroom including individual school supplies and tools for students, emergency food and water supplies, signage for each classroom, student dress code polo shirts and hoodies.
Custodial/Maintenance staff had the huge task of setting up classroom furniture in all grades TK-5th following social distancing guidelines of 6 ft. distance. Individual plexiglass (clear plastic) dividers were set up for each student desk. They removed excess furniture from each classroom to allow for this. They've also made sure that every classroom and restroom has automatic/touchless hand sanitizer dispensers, soap dispensers, and paper towel dispensers. All drinking fountains have been covered and water lines to them closed. The campus continues to be cleaned and disinfected daily.
Support personnel came in to help with the reopening efforts and set up all signage in classrooms and throughout the campus. Signage includes reminders to social distance, wear a mask, wash hands, use sanitizer, proper ways to do each of those things, drinking fountain closed signs, and more. They also set up blue dots/spots to mark where each desk belongs. They'll return next week to: add arrows for directionality and moving about on campus as well as social distancing reminders for places where students will line up.
Administration has been working on fine tuning the Reopening Plan that will be submitted to local and state officials for approval. This plan includes all the required and recommended
Thanks again for your continued support! Go NACP Families!
The paining of our school is almost complete. The school's original vibrant paint colors have been restored and our beautiful campus looks even more beautiful. I hope you enjoy the following pictures taken during my campus walkthroughs.
Sincerely Yours,
-Dr. Guerrero
