Changes for 2018 Saunders County Fair

CLOVER KID - All 4-H Livestock & animal shows (excluding horses) will include a clover kid showmanship portion following the Junior division of showmanship.

BEEF: County Bred Market Animals and County Raised Breeding Animals MUST have been born within the Saunders County lines.

GOATS: Pygmy goats have been removed from the fairbook.

RABBITS: Market rabbits have been removed from the fairbook.

SHEEP: County Bred & Fed Sheep has been removed from the fairbook.

SWINE: To decrease confusion during Weigh in during the County Fair, the following will be enforced:

Weigh in & ultra sound from 8:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M.

Weigh in ONLY from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.

FAVORITE FOODS: New tables have been purchased to replace the octagon big wooden tables of previous years. More information to come!

Saunders County 4-H Youth Council

Interested in serving on the Saunders County 4-H Council and making a difference in the Saunders County 4-H program and receive a $250 scholarship for each year served with completed duties? Are you a 4-H youth, between the ages of 16-18 years of age (as of January 1, of current year) and want to get involved in the Saunders County 4-H program all while improving your leadership skills and receive a $500 scholarship for each year served with completed duties?! Achievement Celebration

NEW IN 2017! We will be having our achievement celebration here in November. We do need you to RSVP as there will be food served! Also, we will be recognizing the following people for their membership or service to 4-H. If you see a correction or addition that needs made please let Melisa ( know prior to November 1!

Saunders County Ag Society Indoor Arena Open

The Indoor arena is open Tuesdays and Thursdays until 8 P.M. It will open the next few weeks and here are the rules they ask you follow:

1. $10 per person, please sign in and pay before you ride

2. 4-H members ride free, sign in along with the name of your club

3. If you get there in the afternoon, turn on lights and leave them on when you leave.

4. Please call 443-6184 if you come in the evening, then i know you will turn off the lights and someone won't have to drive in to do that.

5.Sweep concrete and clean any manure in parking lot.

If we can't find people willing to serve as leaders or superintendents for these then they could potentially end up not being offered at the fair!
