Attendance

Students must meet attendance requirements. You will be required to make up seat time if:

  • You have 10 or more unexcused absences.
  • You have 10 or more unexcused tardies.

If seat time is not made up, you can fail a class due to absences.

Windtalkers - Optimist Oration

The Optimists Oration Contest was held in Georgetown; Elijah Mason placed third, Ellie Forrest 2nd, and Mary Darby Moore 1st. Ellie and Mary will move on to Zone competition in April. Honorable mention to Ruby Rosenberg and Campton Spires for outstanding performances.

Engineering: Pathways 2 Possibilities

Engineering: Pathways 2 Possibilities

On February 22 & 23, Ms. Walczyk and Ms. Smith took 3 students from the Engineering classes and Robotics team to the Pathways2Possiblities event at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center to represent the Engineering pathway to over 7,000 middle schoolers from around the state. This event was hosted by the Bunnelle Foundation to introduce 8th graders to the multitude of career pathways available to them. Freshman Emerald Roberts, Sophomore Steven Bellevue, and Junior Kenneth Wessely demonstrated 3D modeling and printing, robotics, engineering design and construction, and civil and architectural engineering to the students as they interacted with them throughout the two day event.
