News & Tidbits from 4th Grade at HRRS
Tuesday, May 31, 2016 - Well now it's June 1st
Academics: continuing what I communicated last week in Language Arts and Math, with Spelling & Lesson 15 Test on Friday. We're beginning a fun map and totem pole project in Social Studies. I am also gearing up for our second round of DRA Testing, beginning this week.
Please continue to check your student's planner and have them complete their homework and do their reading. I have seen a decline in quality work being handed in. Thank you. Also, with the walk-a-thon this Friday, please continue to help your student find sponsors and bring the pledges in for our school.
I have listed a class picnic for Tuesday, June 14th. I had made a plan to combine with the 5th-6th and 7th grade classes to go to the splash park, but our bus fell through. So..... I am not sure what we should do instead. Any suggestions? We could picnic on the grass around the cul-de-sac here at school or walk to the park over by Lincoln H.S., perhaps with the 7th graders? Let me know your input, please, and if you'd be interested in attending. I will be asking for food to share pot luck style for the day once we settle on a plan.
Have a good rest of your week, this is a very busy time; only eleven and a half days left of school. My daughter graduates from high school this Friday night!
