Five Things You Need to Know
1- ARE YOU GOING TONIGHT?
Join us at Sandy Burr Country Club for a fun filled, 80's themed night! Our PTO is hosting this event for parents only. There will be a silent auction, a DJ, and lots of reasons to smile. We hope to see you there.
2 - FRIENDLY REMINDER: REMEMBER WATER BOTTLES AND SNACKS, EVERYDAY!
We have noticed an increase in students coming to school without a water bottle or a snack. Please make sure to send your student with both each day. Children can refill their water bottles at school with our bottle filler machines. Please note that these machines only fill bottles/cups. The bubblers have been disconnected since the COVID 19 pandemic. If snacks are a hardship, please notify our school counselors, Taylor Scannell or Sarah Shaw.
3 - NEW OFFERING FROM SPARK KINDNESS
Stopping the Cycle of Anger: How to Navigate Anxiety and Big Feelings with Calm and Compassion
Thursday, March 23 at 7pm via Zoom -- For parents, caregivers, educators, and community members of all ages
In this talk, author Renee Jain, MA, will offer practical, supportive techniques to address anger and other intense emotions in ourselves, our children and our teens with more understanding and less screaming. She will discuss how to uncover what's underneath these big feelings and how to empower individuals, parents, and children to shift to more positive response patterns. ASL interpretation will be provided at this event. Register and learn more about this FREE online program and more upcoming events at www.SPARKKindness.org
4 - DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE TURNING 5 BY AUGUST 30TH?
We are getting everything ready to onboard our incoming Kindergarteners and their parents. Sometimes families are left off the census or are new to a neighborhood and don't get this communication. Please help spread the word that Kindergarten orientation is beginning. We always get a few phone calls from parents sharing that a neighbor gave them this information. Thanks in advance for your help.
5 - ICYMI: ASAP REGISTRATION IS COMING!
The AfterSchool Activities Program (ASAP) is hosting it's yearly enrollment period. Please let any incoming Kindergarten families you are in contact with know that it is coming. We will message them directly too. This is a sought after program and fills quickly. If you have any questions about ASAP, you can reach out to Megan Cap-Renzi, the Director of ASAP Programs at mcaprenzi@natickps.org.
