This month, Principal Angelo and Croce's Child Welfare & Attendance Specialist, Jenne Peterson, will facilitate a conversation around the importance of school attendance.
Coffee and pastries will be provided at this adult-only event.
Valet
Croce's Valet line was established to improve the safety and efficiency of drop-off procedures and provide a more fluid motion of traffic.
Before leaving the house, prepare your child/ren for a quick exit from your vehicle. All children will need to exit from the passenger side only and backpacks should be in their laps when approaching the drop-off area.
As you pull into the valet line, our student valets will direct you to drive as far forward as possible. When all cars come to a complete stop, the valets will open the passenger door for your child/ren to exit the vehicle and will then close it behind them. Parents need to remain in the vehicle.
Maker Space
If you are interested in volunteering a few hours of your times to this cause, please let us know. Our goal is to have students in the Maker Space by October 3rd.
CWA MESSAGE
Census Day is right around the corner, on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. That means it is critical that all homeless students are identified and enrolled. We all play an important role in making this happen. Identifying students who are homeless or facing a crisis, can be as simple as taking notice of changed patterns; whether that be with attendance, hygiene, appearing tired or hungry, or difficulty reaching parents by phone. Or it may be noticing a family around town, with kids that don’t appear to be attending school (hint: they’re at the park on a Tuesday mid-morning).

Student Council
Did You Know?
California allocates additional funding to districts that have students that meet the criteria of being an English Learner, Foster Youth, and/or Socio-Economically Disadvantaged. Families are identified based on the submission of the Alternate Income Form.
If your family qualifies, you could receive benefits such as fee waivers, discounted internet service, scholarships for placement exams, and access to special income-based programs.
School Calendar
Keep in mind that contracts should be requested through the school office at least two weeks prior to your departure to give our teachers enough time to prepare your child's materials.
UPDATE: Universal Lunch & Breakfast
Breakfast will be served in the MPR from 8:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. To drop-off your child for breakfast, please pull up along the curb on Scenic Ave. Your child will be able to enter through the backdoor of the MPR anytime between 8:00 a.m. - 8:15 p.m.
All students have the option to eat a school lunch complete with entree, fruit or vegetable, and a milk. To ensure that we have enough meals, students are asked to pre-order lunch through their teacher the day before.
Bedtime Story with Principal Angelo
Please join Mrs. Angelo on Sundays at 6:16 p.m. for a Bedtime Story. The link to the story will be sent via email and text from Blackboard.
