Hawk Happenings: Feb. 21st

Holy Rosary Regional School/Juan Diego Academy Community

Message from the Principal

Happy Wednesday!

It has been an interesting week with the snow flurries! Hopefully, we can make it through without any late starts or snow closures. Don't forget to check our FB page and the local news for info about Tacoma School District #10. We follow their lead!

I want to let parents know that we will be doing a Code Red Lock-Down Drill tomorrow morning. The entire campus will be locked down during this time. Staff and students will practice, once again, so that they know what to do in the event of a real situation. Feel free to have a conversation with your student(s) tonight to help prepare them. The teachers have age-appropriate conversations with their classes each time, so that the students know what to do.

Let me know if you have any questions and have a wonderful week! My sweet-free Lent is going well so far... :)

Have a great week!

Blessings,

Katie Dempsey

Principal

Don't forget...this counts for those service hours!

Old (but Important) News...

Need Volunteer Hours? We Need You!

We would love to have adults (who have taken the Safe Environment class and passed the background check) help out with after school drama practice for Peter Pan. If you are available, please contact the office or Mr. Downing. We need people between 3 and 5 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Tuition Contract Meetings...This Week

We will have tuition contract meetings for all families who need any financial assistance for the 2018-19 school year AND have a completed/verified Fulcrum application. Since enrollment opens up to new families on Monday, Feb. 26th, we want all current families to have the opportunity to sign up before that day! The meetings will be 20 min in length and are back to back on the following days:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 21st from 8 am - 5 pm
  • Thursday, Feb. 22nd from 10 am - 7 pm
  • Friday, Feb. 23rd from 9 am - 4 pm

Here is the link to sign up for a conference: http://signup.com/login/entry/786984356943534088

A Few Very Important Items:

  1. In order to have a contract meeting, families must be up-to-date on their tuition/fees for the current school year.
  2. Please make sure to be on time for your meeting, as they will be back to back all day.
  3. Please note that all contracts need to go up from year to year (at a rate appropriate for each family's circumstances). The school's expenses (salaries, electricity, garbage, etc.) all go up, so our revenue has to increase, as well.
Big picture
