Year in Review: Madison PTA Gives Back
A HUGE THANK YOU to the generous contributors! With this year's fundraising efforts from the Madison school community, the Madison PTA has provided $18,000 worth of resources, on a variety of areas benefiting our students and teachers during the 2021/2022 school year.
MEET & TREAT
To welcome Madison families back to school for the new year and to welcome NEW families to Madison, the PTA supplied the Kona Ice truck for Meet & Treat and welcome signs for new students/families.
WISH LISTS
The PTA was able to offer our faculty and teachers the opportunity to submit a request for anything they "wish" for in their classroom to help them provide a better experience for the students each day. Among the items that were provided this year include:
- Headsprout subscriptions and Dreambox licenses
- Junior atlases
- Math games and supplies to support PACE as well as the math coach
- Various gardening items for pollinator gardens in courtyard
- Type to Learn subscriptions
- Chair pockets
- PE hockey sets, paddle boards, hockey goals, tug of war rope, cones, fleece balls, obstacle course steppers, dodge balls, air pump
CLUBS
Many clubs returned this year, after a pandemic hiatus, along with a few new ones! The PTA helped supply Ozobots for the Engineering club, and pies for PI Day in Math club.
ONGOING GIVING
Many other items are purchased throughout the year, including birthday pencils and birthday books, various supplies needed for the classroom parties including the Madison bags and pop its provided at the Valentines parties, MANY books for the classrooms for variety and to support social-emotional learning, multi-cultural awareness, along with flowers, potting soil, etc. for our beautification crew to "beautify" the school grounds.
The PTA was able to provide ribbons for Reflections winners, whiteboards, ten frames, circle spots for seating in the classroom, Monarch books, March Madness books voted on by each classroom. The LLC, finally returning to normal, has a new rug for students to sit on during library time as well as E-Street shelving, allowing Madison's younger readers easier access to the many books in the library.
END OF YEAR ACTIVITIES
As the year comes to a close, and the 5th graders are ready to move on, the PTA provides each student with a Madison Elementary 5th grade T-shirt, and 5th grade send off party. The PTA also funds Explore More Day and the many awesome experiences the Madison students will get to have that day.
TEACHER AND FACULTY APPRECIATION
Finally, to thank our awesome faculty and teachers, the PTA surprised them with donuts & coffee from time to time, and provided them with meals and snacks to keep their energy up during conferences. The PTA also provided gift cards, etc. to the many teachers and "behind the scenes" helpers that make the school run each and every day.

Now Collecting: Photos for 5th Grade Montage Video
Attention 5th-grade parents!!!
It is hard to believe that the 5th-grade class has a month left at Madison. A committee of parents is working on planning fun end-of-the-year activities for the 5th graders. Two of the projects we are working on include a montage video and an end-of-year booklet that will use baby photos and a questionnaire completed by each 5th grader (completed in class).
We ask parents to do the following by May 15:
Please use this form to submit one baby photo per student and Madison photos from grades K - 5. All images submitted must be taken on school grounds. Photos of students in small groups will be best, but we will also be able to use class photos and individual images. We will try to include all images submitted. Please follow the directions found on the form very carefully.
Thank you, and reach out to Carrie Conover with any questions.
